Tjugum Church and Graveyard
The Tjugum Church is a parish church of the Church of Norway. The earliest historical records for the church date back to 1323, but the church was not new that year. The first church in Tjugum was a classic Stave-style Church that was likely built in the 12th century. In 1863, the old church was torn down and replaced with an octangonal church built on the same site.
We spent time walking through the graveyard looking for "Tjugum gravestones."
We found about a dozen gravesites - now we wanted to see if we could get some more answers about the Tjugum's that lived in this area.
